Fall 2008 Clinic Schedule:

All Clinics are FREE and on a first-come-first-served basis.

All Upper Division clinics are on Mondays on Field 4, and Pinto clinics are on Mondays on Field 7.

Parents are expected to attend the clinics and help the instructors.

Managers:
Guidelines are 3 players from each team per clinic, but more can attend with your approval and parent/coach assistance.

13U DHYS Lightning are the 2008
Dizzy Dean "A" State Champions!




The Druid Hills Lightning are the Dizzy Dean "A" 13U State Champions which was played in Jefferson, Georgia with 15 Teams competing.

The Lightning lost its first game of the Tournament to the Rome Diamondbacks on Wednesday night. The Lightning defeated the NYO Raptors 9- 8 in an extra inning in the first game on Thursday and defeated the Rome Team 7-3 in the second game. In the Final game on Friday, the Lightning beat the Rome D'Backs 9-2 to win the State.

The Lightning had complete game pitching, outstanding defense, and timely hitting in the two wins with the D'Backs. The Lightning finished the season with 24 wins and 5 losses.


10U DHYS Storm Win the 2008
Dizzy Dean (B) State Tournament!



The 10U Druid Hills Storm captured the Dizzy Dean State (B) Championship played in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. After dropping a lopsided game to Wills Park in the Winner’s Bracket final, the Storm shut out Oregon Park 10-0 to advance to the championship game needing to defeat Wills Park twice for the title the next night. After a rain delay and almost 5 hours of baseball ending shortly before midnight, the Storm prevailed 10-4 and 9-7 to take the title in thrilling fashion in a tournament that had 17 teams participating. The Storm fans, siblings and parents are proud to call our boys STATE CHAMPIONS.
