Overview:
DHYS is committed to helping our managers and coaches become more skilled at teaching the fundamentals of baseball. The better we are as coaches, the more rewarding the season is for our players. All instruction will be hands on, meaning you will participate in all drills. Bring your glove and baseball shoes.

Who Should Attend:
Any Upper division Managers & Coaches. There is no limit to the number of session you can attend.

About the instructors:
All instructors are professional baseball coaches.

Coach Bill Melvin has been teaching baseball to young players across the South since 1986.  He uses his eight years of professional pitching experience to improve players of all ages and every skill level; however, what really sets Bill apart is his exceptional character, outstanding communication skills, and infinite patience.  After a lesson with Bill, players leave feeling good about themselves and more confident in their abilities to compete at the highest level.

Emory Baseball Coach Mike Twardoski has guided the Eagles to three NCAA Division III World Series appearances, three NCAA regional championships, six NCAA tournament berths and five conference championships. Twardoski, a former professional player with four major league organizations, assumed the Emory head coach position prior to the 2000 season.

Who Should Attend:
Any DHYS player (first come, first served).

Cost:
None

Fall 2008 Clinic Schedule:

All Upper Division clinics are on Mondays on Field 4, and Pinto clinics are on Mondays on Field 7.

Parents are expected to attend the clinics and help the instructors.

Managers:
Guidelines are 3 players from each team per clinic, but more can attend with your approval and parent/coach assistance.
