Waitlist Priority

Player caps are in place and many of our leagues are likely to be over-subscribed. Please be sure to register during the registration period so as to be eligible for full consideration for being placed on a team. Registering "first" does not guarantee a player slot. If there are more players registered for a particular age group than our participation limits allow, we will use a series of factors (such as player history at DHYS, volunteer history, and participation) to determine the participation roster for the season.

Payment Agreement

Payment is required when you register. You will be taken to the Payment Page immediately after you submit your registration. If you close your browser, or your browser times out after approximately 30 minutes of inactivity, and payment has not been received, your registration will be deleted. You will receive an email indicating that your registration was deleted due to lack of payment. You will need to re-register.

Refund Agreement

  • Before player evaluations: A $25 administrative fee will be deducted for EACH PLAYER withdrawn. All remaining fees will be refunded.
  • After player evaluations: A $25 administrative fee will be deducted for EACH PLAYER withdrawn. 50% remaining fees will be refunded.
  • After any draft for the player’s age group: All fees are non-refundable.
  • Other refunds: May be considered on a case-by-case basis at the DHYS Board’s discretion with the exception of a non-refundable $25 administrative fee for EACH PLAYER.

All withdrawal requests should be emailed to [email protected]. No verbal withdrawal requests will be accepted. Refunds (per the refund agreement above) for withdrawal are issued within one week of notice of withdrawal.

LIGHTNING POLICY

As soon as lightning is seen or heard, or if lightning is detected within 8 miles of the park using online weather apps, practice and competition should be suspended immediately. All players, coaches, umpires, officials and spectators should leave the field and seek shelter immediately. Move to a sturdy enclosed structure or a fully enclosed vehicle with the windows rolled up. Dugouts and pavilions DO NOT provide adequate protection from lighting. Safety is the number one consideration; common sense and good judgement should be used at all times. Parents dropping off unattended children should have a safety plan in place for their child. It is safe to head back to the field 30 minutes after the thunder and lightning have come to an end.
