ALL-STARS (PREDOMINANTLY SUMMER)
The aim of the All-Star league is to field teams of players that serve as the best representatives of DHYS baseball through the teams' competitiveness, sportsmanship, and teamwork. In general, each age group fields two teams (the Red Devils and the Blue Devils). Teams will travel around the state of Georgia (and for some of the older Red Devil teams to neighboring states) to participate in tournaments. Summer tournaments often start on a Friday evening and run through Sunday. The All-Star league does not have the same rules as our Rec leagues.
- There are no rules regarding amount of play time for a player in the infield vs outfield.
- Players must understand that positions that they are accustomed to playing during Rec baseball might not be positions that they play in All-Star.
- Depending on the composition of skill on any given team, playing time in the field and position in the batting order can vary between players.
